Kurs Costal Skipper / Yachtmaster Offshore Shorebased omawia wszystkie zagadnienia przewidziane programem na stopnie Yachtmaster Coastal i Yachtmaster Offshore, koncentrując się na zaawansowanej nawigacji pływowej, meteorologii oraz wszystkich praktycznych aspektach przygotowania i prowadzenia rejsu morskiego.
Kurs trwa 40 godzin i jest realizowany w systemie ciągłym bądź zaocznym. W trakcie kursu zostaną przeprowadzone 3 testy sprawdzające. Kurs kończy się uzyskaniem certyfikatu Yachtmaster Offshore Shorebased, a zdobyte umiejętności są znaczącym ułatwieniem w trakcie egzaminu Yachtmaster Offshore.
